With its attractive design, smartly designed burner configuration, and intuitive touch controls, the CR5B36T9B brings a user-friendly cooking performance with reliable safety to the kitchen. Additional choices are available in 24" and 30" wide sizes, as well as white glass finishes.

Summit® 36" Black Electric Cooktop

The CR5B36T9B is a 36" wide 208-240V radiant cooktop designed to fit popular 34 3/4" W x 19 5/8" D counter cutouts. The surface is made from smooth EuroKera ceramic glass in a jet black finish for a durable, modern look. This unit does not ship with a power cord and must be hard-wired by a professional.

Five elements let you meet a variety of cooking needs. The two extra large dual ring elements in the rear (2200W 9" element on the left and 3000W 9 3/4" element on the right) allow you to efficiently heat woks, Dutch ovens, and other large cooking vessels or to switch to the inner 5 1/2" elements as needed. The 6 1/2" 1200W front burners cover standard sizes, while the center 100W warming zone element lets you keep cookware heated without overcooking.

The digital controls are centered upfront, ensuring users won't have to reach over hot burners to adjust the temperature. The intuitive touch design is easy to operate and clean. This unit also includes a timer function that lets you program a power level and cook time (up to 99 minutes) that can either turn the unit off when complete, or serve as a visual countdown with an audible alert when the set time has been reached. Safety features include a child lock function, automatic shutoff after two hours, and a residual heat indicator.

Extra large 3000W burner - Rear right burner comes with a 9 3/4" diameter and powerful 3000W cooking power to handle large pots and help boil water with more speed

2 Standard 1200W burners - Front left and front right burners are 6.5" in diameter to meet most cooking needs

Warming zone - Center 6 1/2" element operates at a low 100W to help keep cookware warm without overheating

9 power levels - Select and adjust your heating levels at the touch of a button

Residual heat light - Indicator shows when the surface is still hot to touch

Child lock - Safety feature lets you lock the cooktop to prevent unsupervised heating

Automatic shutoff - If a cooking zone is in use for over two hours with no changes to the control setting, the burner will automatically turn off to prevent unsupervised heating

EuroKera glass surface - Easy cleanup and elegant style on a smooth ceramic glass surface in a jet black finish

Large 2200W burner - Left rear 2200W element is 9" in diameter to handle larger cooking vessels

Dual cooking zones - Rear burners include an inner 5 1/2" burner, allowing you to save energy when heating smaller cookware

Digital touch controls - Easy operation with a digital control panel and digital display conveniently centered upfront

Timer - Allows you to program either burner to heat at a specified level for up to 99 minutes and either turn off when finished or display a countdown with an audible alert when the time is up

ADA compliant design - Upfront controls meet ADA guidelines for easier accessibilty

Safety cut-off function - If the cooktop on/off switch is touched but no power level is selected within one minute, the cooktop automatically turns off
